Diagnosis and parameterization for your PROFIBUS DP/PA

The Modular INspektor^® combines for the first time fieldbus diagnosis and online parameterization of field devices. This device is both a passive data collector analyzing and evaluating logic parameters in the PROFIBUS DP and the PROFIBUS PA, and a PROFIBUS master through which parameterization can be done by FDT/DTM. It will thus be possible to monitor the fieldbus and the field devices by one single application.

Head module - Ethernet Gateway The head module of the Modular INspektor^® is used for connection to the existing Ethernet. It is thus possible to access up to five extension modules (PROFIBUS DP, PROFIBUS PA, FDT/DTM) at the same time under one IP address. PROFIBUS DP diagnosis.
PROFIBUS DP Module - DP diagnosis Every DP module is a decentralized "telegram controller" developed for the temporary and permanent monitoring of the logic data traffic. All major events, such as : • error telegrams • repeat telegrams • module failures • diagnostic data and cycle times are recognized, evaluated, buffered and displayed for every DP strand via a web interface. Every event is stored as a telegram snapshot.
PROFIBUS PA Module - PA diagnosis The PROFIBUS PA module can monitor, analyse and display the results of 2 PA segments in parallel. The PROFIBUS PA analyses and evaluates logic parameters as does the PROFIBUS DP. Parameters included are error telegrams and repeat telegrams but also diagnostic messages by the individual subscribers and subscriber failures.
PROFIBUS DP Master module - FDT/DTM-Parameterization The FDT/DTM module enables the PROFIBUS DP to do FDT/DTM parameterization parallel to all analyses. It only needs a frame application, such as PACTware by which it is possible to parameterize and configure devices and modules as master class 2 via Ethernet.
