Industrial Ethernet switch delivers complete network transparency
As Ethernet becomes increasingly central to mechanical engineering, building a scalable, high-performance network infrastructure is more important than ever. To make the condition of this backbone fully transparent, Indu-Sol presents the diagnostic switch PROmesh P24+ – a high-performance 24-port Gigabit Ethernet switch designed for both PROFINET and EtherNet/IP networks. In addition to its high port speeds, the diagnostic switch offers four uplink ports supporting up to 10 Gbit/s. This level of performance allows large volumes of data to be aggregated and reliably forwarded to higher-level systems – without the switch itself becoming a bottleneck. The PROmesh P24+ is perfectly suited for backbone applications, where high transmission bandwidth combined with fast performance ensures enhanced network stability, security, and reliability.
Comprehensive environmental and port monitoring
Another standout capability of the PROmesh P24+ is its comprehensive environmental and port monitoring. All connected cables are continuously checked for signal integrity, leakage currents are monitored, and environmental factors such as vibration, light, and humidity at the installation site are tracked and displayed through the web interface. In addition, detailed port statistics can be displayed, including errors, discards, and network load (per ms or per second), along with information on network topology and neighbouring devices. Users can also define custom triggers to generate and display specific alarms. This provides continuous clarity into network performance, allowing early identification of potential problems and enabling preventive maintenance before any downtime occurs. The switch can be flexibly integrated into machine and production networks using NAT (Network Address Translation) and supports a wide range of interfaces. Integrated firewall functions and Access Control Lists (ACLs) allow user-defined access rights for devices and communications, thereby increasing network security. Additionally PROFINET Security Level 1 is supported.
The full-Gigabit switch enables transmission rates of up to 10 Gbit/s. It features eight priority queues and uses Quality of Service (QoS) to intelligently control and prioritise data traffic. Configuration and monitoring are simple and convenient via the integrated web interface. Thanks to its robust metal housing and extended temperature range from –40 °C to +75 °C, the PROmesh P24+ is ideally suited for industrial environments.
