Functions of PB-Q ONE
The PB-QONE is a tool for the complete evaluation of PROFIBUS communication quality. The hardware is connected to the PROFIBUS system by a supplied adapter.
Its simple, intuitive operability and the clear evaluation of the measurement results enable the state of the physical and logical transmission quality in the network to be reliably evaluated within seconds. In addition, the PB-QONE offers fully automatic and completely feedback-free topology determination under running production conditions. As a result, the PB-QONE records the actual connection of all network devices and even identifies repeaters, measuring points and the cable lengths between the devices. The graphic display shows measurement locations and segment structures at a glance. This makes the PB-QONE ideally suited for every thinkable application such as certification and commissioning, maintenance and service as well as troubleshooting.
Evaluation of physical quality
The PROFIBUS tester is able to ascertain the amount of the voltage difference as well as the shapes of the signals during PROFIBUS telegram transmissions. The results are visualized in form of a bar diagram, showing a quality value for each analysed bus device.
Signal to noise ratio
The signal to noise ration indicates the shortest distance between a logic "0" and the logic "1". It shows how far the signal of a device is affected by external interferences or signal fluctuations. It helps to recognize sporadic physical errors.

Evaluation of communication quality
All bus devices are presented in form of a tree diagram, including address, module name and device symbol. The colour highlighting (green, yellow, red) provides a quick condition evaluation of each device.
The telegram mode extends the range of analyses. A large number of filters and triggers is available to analyse the data traffic in terms events but also certain data content.
The integrated master simulator is designed to determine the actually wired bus topology and analyse the signal quality of the connected bus devices. The master simulator is used in the offline mode without SPC.
