How does PROscan® Active behave with routed networks?
The mapping of the topology also functions via a router in most cases. We recommend for the live scan to be directly in the network. Note that some functions of the software directly access the backup layer (OSI level 2) of the PROFINET network. For this reason, some information will be missing in the topology when you scan via router.
